Wellington is governed by covenants and restrictions to ensure that our neighborhood looks nice to protect our property values. Please submit an architecture request if you plan to make any additions/changes to the outside of your home.
Construction materials: Chain link fencing is prohibited. Split rail fencing is common in our neighborhood for animal containment. Location: Fences should not be closer to the street than the home setback. You must still comply with city restrictions and easements on your property. "No fence or wall shall be erected on any building plot closer to any street line than the building setback or the front of the building facade." Openness test: In General, Fencing should be open with at least 50% visibility. "Perimeter fencing shall not have more than 50% of any of its surface closed as viewed from a point on a line of sight perpendicular to the line formed by the line at the fence."
This guide is not intended to be all-inclusive; however, you can find a copy of our CC&R in the document library on our website. If you have any other specific questions about your specific improvement please complete an ARC request or reach out to the board, board@wellingtonword.org.
